This is a general purpose Mastodon instance supported by ethical untargeted ads. Almost all of the fediverse is ad free. This is great! But services like duckduckgo have shown that ethical, untargeted ads that are friendly to the user can be a great way to help a service grow and flourish while respecting users. tinyfed.com hopes to bring that same pro-user but also pro-growth mindset to the fediverse. This goes against the values of many in the fediverse, and differing opinions on this approach are welcome. The beauty is... we federate! Feel free to choose any other service or instance that is more to your liking, and federate with tinyfed... or not! The beauty is... the choice is yours :)
